I have worked for many organisations such as Theatre Hullabaloo, Arts Council England, MIMA, Middlesbrough Council and others (NDAs prevents me from naming them!) to capture an event as it unfolds, perform it live, and then deliver it post-event as a written memento of the day.
I use verbatim over-hearings and found text to build up a word picture of the event, phrases that your delegates and speakers will recognise as coming directly from themselves. I scribble furiously, writing my last line as I’m heading up to perform at the close of your day. Two days later, this is delivered to you as a document for you to send out to delegates, sponsors and speakers; use in evaluation; for PR and marketing.
